In My Mailbox Monday

I'm starting back the old meme, In My Mailbox Monday. I stopped posting this meme because I cut back on buying hard copies of books and was utilizing my Kindle more frequently. But I'm going to post what books I've purchased via mail and Kindle to cover all purchases. So lets get started. Here's what I've purchased this week. I have already started reading Shadow of the Banyan Tree. It's is lyrically and literally a beautiful masterpiece. I said, I'm only going to read the first chapter and was on chapter five before I knew it. I'll let you know how the rest of the story goes.

Romance is in the Air Giveaway Hop

It's almost Valentine's Day and romance is truly in the air. Valentine's Day is not one of my favorite holidays because my husband makes me feel like everyday is Valentine's Day. But I do love to watch Lifetime movies. I will likely be planted in front of the television for better part of the day. The best ones come on near Valentine's Day and Mother's Day is a good time too. Thankful for Books Giveaway Hop

If I listed all the people and things I'm grateful for, I would never shut up or stop typing because I am one blessed and highly favored child of God. One of the things I'm most grateful for is the written word. I've been fortunate enough to become an award winning author and now I can add award winning blog to the list of things I'm thankful for (I won two Black Weblog Awards; one for best personal blog and one for best blog post series). Banned Books Week Giveaway Hop

Welcome to Banned Books Week! I love reading banned books. My favorite banned book is The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I don't know if  it's because of the mystique of the book being banned or is it just the rebellion in me to go against the grain. So what's all the hoopla with Banned Books Week?

When Seasons Change Giveaway Hop
